      Mrs. Doris G. Chace, 77, of Monrovia, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Chace. Born Nov. 11, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Harry Jerry and Grace Philbrick Gonyer.
       Mrs. Chace sang with the Howard County Community Choir. She was an avid bowler and Washington Red Skins fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
       Surviving are two daughters, Donna Chase Mills and husband Jerry of Monrovia, and Diane Chace Carruthers and husband Alan of Laytonsville; five grandchildren, Jeremy G.P. Mills and wife Heather, Joshua E. Mills, Haley Tai Marie Carruthers, Chelsea Anli Carruthers and Ema Chace Carruthers; and one great-grandchild, Alan Mills.
       Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Frederick Region, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, Md. 21784.
