BARNES, LAWRENCE — The death of Lawrence Renfrew Barnes, age 88, husband of Lilly (Mott) Barnes of Wickham, NB, occurred at the Bayview Special Care Home, Kars, NB, on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He was born on September 17, 1923, the son of the late David and Nellie (Lewis) Barnes.  Lawrence is survived by his wife Lilly; son Randy (Betty) Barnes of McDonald’s Point; grandchildren Kimberly (Jason) Withrow of Bedford, NS, Wade (Karen) Vroom of Toronto, ON, Marcy Loeman of Midland, and Miranda Barnes of Miramichi; great grandchildren Erika and Tyler Withrow of Bedford, NS and Zack Loeman of Midland; son-in-law Brian Vroom of Fredericton; special cousin Evlyn Fulton; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his daughter Elaine (Barnes) Vroom; brothers Bill, Walter, Harold, Lewis and Lloyd.  Resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Todd Cameron, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel, at 11:00 am, on Monday, August 6, 2012. Interment will take place in McDonald’s Cemetery. McDonald’s Point, NB.
