STEVENS, Elizabeth Ann (née Burrill)
Bet was born April 21, 1914 in Hamilton, Ontario and died of old age on March 6, 2005 in Toronto. She graduated from McMaster University in 1936 and married Burnley W. Stevens in 1941. They spent their married life in Thunder Bay where he was a surgeon in the Fort William Clinic, which he founded.
She was predeceased in 1997 by her husband. She is survived by their four children, Joan, John, Scott and Holly and their spouses Ron Varley, Pam Edwards Stevens, Brenda Nicoloff and Colin Moores; and by her grandchildren Ondine Hayes, Sarah Varley and Alexander, Daniel, Jennifer and Lindsay Stevens. She will be greatly missed.
A special thank you from the family to the staff at The Bradgate and more recently The Donway for their dedicated service and attention over the last seven years.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Church-on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale St., Toronto on Friday, March 11th at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Bradgate Arms, 54 Foxbar Rd., Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the CBC, 131 Bloor St. W., Suite 200, Toronto, M5S 1R8.
