BALSOR, Myles Archibald - 82, Margaretsville, Annapolis, formerly of Black Rock, Kings Co., passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013, in the Solider’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Canada Creek, he was a son of the late Archibald and Marion (Foote) Balsor. Myles was a member of the Black Rock Baptist Church. He had drove a truck for John Horsnell, later drove heavy equipment in Halifax, Ontario and in Newfoundland. Myles became a commercial fisherman in 1961 and spent 23 years fishing on the Bay of Fundy. He loved to Garden and had owned a mixed farm in Black Rock for many years. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, B. Marion (Sweeney) Balsor, Margaretsville; daughter, Wendy (Richard) Strong, Lakeville; sons, Wayne (Donna), Black Rock; Gary (the late Ardena), Cambridge; Merle, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; grandchildren, Dean, Darren, Dana, Darcee, Mallory, Kala and Chad; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Dakota, Kesly, Karsen, Ava, Cody and Rowen; sister, Ida (the late Walter) Gould, Berwick; sister-in-law, Grace Balsor, Viewmount; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by daughter, Joy Lynn; sisters, Louise (Morley) Brown; Vivian (Glendon) Schnare; brothers, Harry (Alice), Earl (Dorothy), Vance, George, Frank. There will be no visitation. A private Graveside service for family and relatives will take place in the East Black Rock Cemetery. Lic. David Crocker officiating. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Black Rock Baptist Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
