CLEM, Lorimer Austin – Age 85, of Viewmount, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at home. Born on January 8, 1935, in Viewmount, he was a son of late Austin and Carrie Clem. Lorimer was a hobby farmer and he loved to spend time in the garden. He had work horses and enjoyed attending horse pulls and exhibitions. Lorimer always loved being outdoors and having his family members around him, who will miss him dearly. He was a Distributor Operator for the Department of Transportation and Industrial Cold Milling and a Truck Driver. Surviving are daughters, Ruth (the late Doug) Meier, Raleigh, NC; Joan (Brendan) Gibney, Kanata, Ont.; Carrol (Peter) Stewart; sons, Eric (Noreen) and Neil (Wendy) Clem, all of Viewmount; daughter-in-law, Joanne Comeau, Millville; grandchildren, Natalie, Heather, Ben, Caitlin, Ian, Chesley, Austin, Briana, Brett and Bradley; great grandchildren, Leighton, Harper and Matthew; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Shirley Genevieve Sweeney; daughter, Carolyn in infancy; son, Darrel Clem; sisters, Addie DeEll and Marion Hawkesworth. There will be no visitation in the funeral home. A time in celebration of Lorimer’s life will take place and be announced at a future date.
