      LIVERMORE FALLS – Joyce Lake Moore, 79, passed away on Nov. 24, 2016, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. She was born at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington on Nov. 19, 1937, the daughter of Irving and Nellie (Preston) Lake of Wilton. Joyce attended Wilton Primary, the Central School and graduated from Wilton Academy in the class of 1956, where she played all sports as an honor student and majorette.
       In the summer of 1956, she worked in the office at Norrwock Shoe and then became secretary to the Superintendent of Schools of Union 33. In 1966 she married Charles Moore of Livermore Falls and they made their home on Moose Hill. Charles passed away in 1996 at Maine Medical Center and Joyce continued to stay at their home on Moose Hill. In 2015 she stayed with her niece and nephew Shellie and Scott Allen in Wilton for a few months following back surgery. She leaves her loving family of nieces and nephews.
       Donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to, the Wilton Historical Society, c/o Donald Hamlin, PO Box 33, Wilton, ME 04294. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, ME 04938.
