FARMINGTON —
Judith I. Trask, 80, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Judy was born on Aug. 10, 1935, the only child of Thurlow and Hazel (Tutty) Butterfield. She attended local schools and graduated from Wilton Academy. On Oct. 11, 1958, she married Carl Trask. They were married for 49 years before his passing in 2007.
Judy held various job positions throughout her life, most notably owning Wilton Printed Products Co. and managing the Wilson Lake Country Club with her husband. For a period of time she also worked as a pharmacy technician. During her retirement, she and Carl wintered in Florida and enjoyed spending time in Myrtle Beach. Most recently, she served as a volunteer at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Judy was fiercely independent with a dry sense of humor; she was a one of a kind “Meme” to her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing, going to the casino, and hitting the road with “the ladies” on various trips.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Cain and her companion, Kenneth Bubier of Phillips, Colby Cain and his wife, Kaitlyn of Orland, and their father, Michael Cain and his wife, Carol of Manchester, N.H.; and great grandchildren, Isabella, Katheryn, Aydan, and Corbin.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl, and her daughter, Michelle Cain. Tributes and condolences may be shared by visiting her memorial wall at www.wilesrc.com.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, from noon to 2 p.m. at Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Rhonda A. Wiles-Rosell as celebrant.
Remembrance gifts may be made to The Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Rd., Farmington, ME 04938. Spring interment will take place at Lakeview cemetery in Wilton.
