ANWYL, Mary Margaret Loving wife and cherished mother, Mary was born in Anamosa, Iowa, on April 21, 1925 and passed away in Roseville, California on December 25, 2010, with her family by her side.  She was preceded in death by her beloved twin brother John DuMont and two dear sisters, Julia and Ann.  Mary is survived by Ray her devoted husband of almost 65 years her two sons, James and his wife Carolyn, and John and his wife Jan, and her daughter Jo Ann and her husband Loren. She and Ray were also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Mary often spoke of her good fortune to have een raised In the small town of Anamosa located in eastern Iowa. After graduating high school, Mary attended the University of Iowa. Growing up she was very active in her local church. She was wed in that same church on February 23 1946 to Ray the love of her life after he returned from military service In Europe. Mary and Ray eventually relocated to California where they raised their family and realized the beginning of many long and cherished friendships through their church and neighborhood. Mary worked for Allstate Insurance Company and eventually retired In 1987 after 30 years of dedicated service. Upon retirement she enjoyed her new-found free time to pursue her interests in sewing, knitting, cross-stitching ,baking and so much more. Mary and Ray loved to travel and visited many places within the United States, as well as throughout the world.  Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Mary at 11am on Friday January 7, 2011 at Valley Springs Presbyterian Church, 2401 Olympus Drive, Roseville. In keeping with Mary’s wishes a separate private graveside service will be attended by family.
