Virginia Lea “Ginny” (Arnett) Hoover Yaeger was born on April 3, 1938, to Jewel May (Wheeler) and Eugene E. "Gene" Arnett of Hartville, MO, and departed this life on Friday, February 16, 2018, in Cox Hospital, Springfield, MO, at the age of seventy-nine years, 10 months, and thirteen days. At the age of 18, Ginny married Richard E. Hoover of Toledo, OH. To this union three children were born: Mark, Lori, and David. After Richard’s retirement from the Air Force, the family moved to Hartville where they ran the Eagle’s Nest Cafe. Some years later, Ginny worked at the Wright County Courthouse. Ginny and David Yaeger were married in Nevada on a river boat cruise and spent 21 years of many happy times traveling the United States and both played in cribbage tournaments sanctioned by the American Cribbage Congress. Ginny is preceded in death by her father in 1976; her mother in 1979; a son Mark S. Hoover in 1957; a sister Patricia Sorrels in 2015; two brothers: Raymond "Ray" Arnett in 1935, and Michael S. Arnett in 1966. Ginny is survived by her husband: Dave of the home; daughter and son-in-law: Lori Shaver and husband, Wendell, of Hartville, MO; son: David Hoover, of Wasilla, Alaska; grandchildren: Grant Shaver of Massachusetts, Casey Shaver Boyd and husband, Craig, of Grovespring, MO; two great-grandchildren; sister: Lois Bowman of Hartville, MO; step-children: Rachelle Shurrum and husband, Chris, of Washington, JoAnn Talbot and husband, Dannie, of Arizona, and Netharly Yaeger, of Washington; and five step great-grandchildren. A private graveside service at Steele Cemetery, Hartville, MO will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions made to Wright County Patriots Memorial Foundation, PO Box 344, Hartville, MO 65667 in memory of Virginia. Care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. - DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory, Springfield, MO.
