      Smyth, Kenneth Howard, 66, Truro passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 15, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Bury, Quebec he was the son of the late Howard and Ethel (Dougherty) Smyth. Ken’s passion was riding his Harley Davidson with his wife Elizabeth. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing, both on television and at the actual races. Dale Earnhardt was his favourite driver. Ken was a businessman and entrepreneur, and worked in agriculture all of his life, providing for his family, until the time of retirement. He enjoyed his years in Florida, meeting people, making friends and especially spending time with others who also enjoyed time with Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Ken cherished time spent with his family.
       He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fox; sons, Jonathan (Melissa), Barrie, Ontario, Jeremy (Heather), Jacksonville, Florida; first wife, Alison (Mosher) Smyth, Granville Ferry, N.S.; sisters, Carol (Verne) Horsman, and Valerie (Garth) Williams, both of Shortts Lake; grandchildren, Ryan and Avery; many nieces and nephews.
       Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Brian; nephew, Stephen.
       Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1:15 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 19th at 2 p.m. in St, John’s Anglican Church, Truro with Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Melanoma Network of Canada, 99 Bronte Rd., #324, Oakville, Ontario L6L 3B7.
