      SHREVEPORT — Services for Mrs. Vera Humphrey Holland, 76, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 22, in Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel with the Rev. Bill Hines, interim pastor of Gloster Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.
       Mrs. Holland, a native of Bryceland, LA, died August 19, 1994, after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Shreveport for 63 years, was a homemaker and was Methodist.
       She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Calvin Holland who was killed in action in World War II.
       Survivors include two daughters, Barbara D’Agostino and husband, Dan, Hot Springs, AR, Judy Alexander and husband, Johnny, Gloster, LA; three sisters, Jessie Greenlee, Pearl Waites, Lucille Jones, all of Shreveport; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
       Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews. The family suggests memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc., Inc. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Heritage Manor South Nursing Home. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel
