      Burton Eugene Lightbody Jr., 71, husband of Yvonne Beverley Raincock Lightbody, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at a local nursing center. Born in Lowell, Mass., he was a son of the late Burton Eugene Lightbody Sr. and the late Mary Smith Lightbody.
       Mr. Lightbody was a retired U.S. Air Force senior master sergeant with 26 years of service and a Korean War veteran. He was a former member of the Elks Club and VFW and was an avid golfer.
       Surviving are his wife of Sumter; a son, Douglas Brian Lightbody and wife, Elizabeth, of Aiken; a daughter, Debbie Lynn Lightbody of Riverview, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Carly, Madison and Skyler.
       Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of the Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
