STODDARD, Ruth Leona (August 18, 1924 - January 25, 2024) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at University Hospital, London on Thursday, January 25, 2024 Ruth was in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Lewis Stoddard for 72 years. Cherished mother of Lynne (Glen) Hall and Margaret (Allen) Yates. Proud grandmother of Kimberley (Michael) Goodwin, Todd (Louise) Bogart, Kristen (Dave) Merucci and Angela (Jimmy) Heskin and great-grandmother of 9 and great-great-grandmother of 10. Loving sister to Jean Goreham. Dear Aunt of Dale Sollows. Predeceased by her sister, Phyllis (Donnie) Nickerson; brothers, Malcolm (Ella), Ralph (Winnifred), Jack (Shirley) and Eric; sister in laws Vaughn (Robert) Goreham and Dean Sollows and Grandson Drayson. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Friends will be received by the family from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation. Special thanks to Dr. Omar Al-Azem and staff at University Hospital.
