Robert Miles Milcik, age 82, of Elburn, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born June 20, 1936 in Macon, Missouri, the son of Steven and Ruth (Miles) Milcik. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army as a military police officer. He worked as the assistant vice president for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for over 50 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Moberly, MO and the Elburn Community Congregational Church. He loved to hunt and fish and was a lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited, Quails Forever, and Pheasants Forever. His favorite pastime however, was spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years Patricia (Miller); children Georgia (Michael) Bryan of CA and Rob (Brenda) of Bloomington; grandchildren Travis Bryan, Anneliese (Josh) Eastes, Nicholas, and Leah; and many other dear relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roland. A Funeral Service will be held Friday November 23rd, 2018 at 4 pm at the Community Congregational Church, 100 E Shannon St, Elburn, IL 60119. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family in order to start a scholarship fund in honor of Robert at The University of Missouri at Colombia.
