George Washington Row, for 55 years an employe at M. P. Moller, died yesterday at 5 p.m. at his home, Raven Heights, aged 73 after an iliness of five months.
The son of John T. and Catherine (Koons) Row, he was born in Maugansville, and had lived in Hagerstown most of his life. At Mollers, he was a contractor in the organ building, working on the cabinets.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Funkstown Fire Company.
Surviving, besides wife, Carrie, are daughters, Mrs. John Reel, Mrs. Roy Smith, both Baltimore; Mrs. Frances Miller, sons, J. Walter, Charles Frank Ernest W. Row, all of Hagerstown; stepdaughters, Mrs. Paul Harne, Riverdale, Md., Miss Dorothy Mundey, Hagerstown; stepson, Roy S. Mundey; sister, Miss Mary E. Row, San Mar: brothers, Jacob Row, Florida, David Row, Baltimore, 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
The body was removed to the funeral home of A. K. Coffman, Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, daylight saving time, Rev. Harry C. Marsh officiating, assisted by Rev. Dr. G. I. Rider. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery..
