      HOPE VALENTINE ODELL June 17, 1918 – October 23, 2007
      SAN LUIS OBISPO – Hope Valentine Odell, age 89, died of natural causes on October 23, 2007. Born in Berkeley, she was a third generation Californian.
       Hope lived up to her name by bringing love and cheer to all the lives she touched. She lived life to the fullest, and in the end, her mortal heart just couldn’t keep up with her vibrant spirit. She will be remembered by her many friends and loved ones.
       Hope is survived by her son, Eric Peterson (Terri) of Atascadero; daughter, Melinda Holland (Ray) of San Francisco; niece, Leslie Hodgin (Dennis) of Carmel Valley; stepchildren, Gretchen Anne Smith and Bill Odell; grandchildren, Laurie Peterson, Brooks and Miles Holland; great-grandchildren, Karenna, Eva, Matthew and Katie; devoted fiancé, Eric Murrell and his son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Donna of Shell Beach.
       A celebration of Hope’s life will be held on November 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at The Oaks at The Villages, 61 Broad Street, San Luis Obispo, CA.
