      Lyons Catholic Church Setting For Wedding
       Miss Myrna Clason daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clason of Fortuna, Calif, and David Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wilson of Mehama, exchanged their wedding vows at a winter wedding held at the St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Lyons on Saturday Dec. 30, with. the Rev. Father Bernard officiating at the to clock ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with Christmas colors of red, white and green.
       The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore floor length gown of white lace over tafieta and carried a bouquet of white carnations centered with a white orchid with lavender throat. Miss Nancy Ballard of Salem, cousin of the bride, was her only attendant. She wore a lavender colored dress with white net overskirt of ballerina length and carried a bouquet of white carnations. Harold Wilson of Mehama acted as best man for his brother.
       Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Santiam Valley grange hall which was decorated in white and lavender. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Henry Hansen of Silverton Hills, and aunt of the bride. She was assisted by Mrs. Herbert Graen. Mrs. Ed Keys of Glide presided at the coffee urn and Mrs. Pete Owen of Mehama served the punch.
       Miss Linda Lee Wilson of Mehama and Miss Jacqueline Keys of Glide were in charge of guest book. Mrs. Eugene Clason of Mehama, Mrs. Bud Casteele Canyonville, Miss Edna Keys Glide and Miss Alice Woods Portland were in charge of gifts. Mrs. Clason chose for her daughter’s wedding a dark blue sheath dress with black accessories and wore a white carnation corsage. Mrs. Wilson attended son’s wedding in a lime green colored suit with brown accessories and also wore a while carnation corsage. Alter a short wedding trip young couple will be at home Mehama. He is employed at the Freres Veneer plant in Lyons.
