AYLESFORD –
Isaac Harold Spurr, 81, of New Westminster, B.C. died suddenly Jan. 2.
Born in Aylesford, he lived most of his life in British Columbia. He was a son of the late Nathaniel and Rebecca (Skinner) Spurr of Aylesford. Surviving is his wife, the former Hattie Burbidge.
HAROLD I. SPURR – Word has been received by relatives and friends in the Annapolis Valley of the death of Harold I. Spurr in New Westminster, B.C., where he had resided for the past many years. He was 81.
He was born in Aylesford, Kings, the youngest son of the late Nathaniel Parker Spurr and Rebecca Skinner Spurr.
After graduating from Acadia University, he taught in New Westminster and retired with a professorship.
He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Hattie Burbidge, formerly of Aylesford. Their only son, Robert, was killed in an airplane crash while training in Canada during World War II. He was the last of his immediate family, his four brothers, Parker, Howard and Frank of Aylesford and Alfred of Round Hill all predeceased him. He is survived by many nieces and nephews in the Valley.
Funeral services and interment were held in New Westminster.
