Parker Reis, 43 of 8801 Atlantic Avenue died suddenly Tuesday in Philadelphia after a long illness. Reis was a world traveler and a former cruise director for several travel companies. He was born in Washington DC. Reis traveled around the world seven times as part of his job as cruise director for Cook Tours American Express and our Winds Travel. He had been a 6th grade teacher in the Pleasantville school system for five years, and a substitute teacher at Atlantic City High School for many years. He was a lifeguard here and in Long port for 10 years. He was a graduate of Glassboro State College. Surviving are his mother Margot Dawson of this city his father Maurice Reis of Stamford, Conn., his ex wife Anne Sophie of Port St Lucie Fla., a son Parker Jr and a daughter Maureen, two brothers and a sister. Services will take place at 2 pm Saturday at 8801 Atlantic Ave. here. Following cremation, his ashes will be scattered in the ocean.
