    1. [S4] Obituary.
Norvel Hazen Robertson (1936-2018) of Robertson’s Point, Queens, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, on October 16, 2018 with his family present.
Norvel will be remembered with love and respect by Nancy, his spouse of 18 years, and her children, their spouses and children. Norvel’s spirit will be cherished by his sister, Frances Slipp, and his nieces, Nancy, Diane, Debbie and Elizabeth, their spouses and children. He is the son of the late Edith and Hazen Robertson; his brother, Charlie, passed away in 1996. His sister-in-law, Marjorie, resides in Saint John.
Norvel enjoyed the friendship and affection of generations of Grand Lake cottagers who annually spent summer vacations at “The Point”. His quiet demeanor and dry wit masked an extraordinary commitment to make “The Point” such a special place for his family and friends to enjoy memorable experiences.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Joanna Doak will officiate. Interment will follow in the Jemseg Community Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Norvel’s memory can be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. www.oromoctofh.com
