      Golda Smith of Carlingford passed away peacefully at Victoria Glen Manor on the evening of May 19, 2007. Born in Carlingford on November 5, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Fields) Flowers. Golda leaves behind her children Darlene (Fred) Clark, Joan Smith, and Ernest (Linda) Smith, all from Carlingford; her sisters Inez Mackin of Toronto, Donna Turner of Carlingford, Schylor (Fran) Turner of Virginia; her brothers Preston (Mavis) Flowers of Aroostook, Lowell (Carolyn) Flowers of South River, ON; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James W. Smith; her son James Gary Smith; sisters Dora Elliott, Myria O’Connor, Ella Tattersall; brothers Merle, Leo, Dorance, and Charlie Flowers. Golda worked as a nurse in Fort Fairfield, Maine for over 30 years.
       Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Monday 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glen Corkum officiating. Interment will be at the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Three Angels Broadcasting Network or to Amazing Facts would be appreciated by the family. www.brunswickfuneralhome.ca
