      Foster E. Alward 1926-2004 The beloved husband of Georgina Alward (Templeton) passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Born in Canaan Forks, NB, he was the son of the late Douglas Alward and Unavieve Straight (Paterson). He was a retired Machinist with the CNR having worked in the oil lab in the Moncton Diesel Shop. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the CN Pensioners Association. Foster is survived by his wife of 57 years, Georgina; son, Laurie, of Lakeville; daughters, Deborah Scott (Bill) of Gladeside, Trudy Girvan (Royce) of Salisbury and Dixie Daigle (George) of Riverview; grandchildren, Tara and Randi Scott, Josh and Tyler Daigle, and Melissa Girvan; brother, Delbert Alward (Marion) of McGregor, ON; and sister Doreen O’Blenis of Napanee, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews.
       At his request there will be no visitation prior to the funeral service which will be held on Monday, May 10, 2004, at 2pm in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. The family will be receiving relatives and friends in the Garden View Family Reception Room following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the CNIB or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
