ADELINE —
Mrs. Orville J. (Mae Pearl) Snyder of Adeline died this morning at Polo Continental Manor, where she had resided 17 months. She was a member of Adeline United Brethren Church and the Woman’s Missionary Society of the church.
Born June 30, 1904. in George, Iowa,she was the daughter of Frederick and Anna (Rowe) Stukenberg. She was married to Orville J. Snyder Dec. 27, 1921, in Oregon. He died Sept. 11, 1946.
Surviving are a son, Dale of German Valley; two daughters; Mrs. Thomas (Flossie) Murray and Mrs. Joe (Betty) Knott, both of Forreston; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Also, a brother, Russell of Byron; and two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Leona) Brennan of Carpentersville and Mrs. Lucille Morris of Philadelphia, Tenn. Three brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Adeline UB Church.. The Rev. Ralph Houston, pastor of: Forreston Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Adeline Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. A memorial fund has been established for the Adeline/ church.
