Ruth Eleanor Baker, age 100 of Pleasantville.
Ruth’s family is saddened to announce her passing on October 29, 2020 at home with her grand daughter Kathy and cat Blackie by her side. Born in Wilmot, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Bessie (Whitman) Wotton. Throughout her life, Ruth enjoyed being involved in the community and her church. Ruth was always proud of her gardens. She had a sass and character that stayed with her until the very end.
She will always be loved and missed by son Robert, United States; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Doug and Ella Porter, Arnie and Pauline Richards, and Carolyn and Roy Crouse.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanford; siblings, Helen, Shirley and George “Bud”; and foster daughters.
Kathy would also like to express many thanks to Lunenburg County Home Support and Palliative Home Support. A private visitation will be held with COVID-19 restrictions in place. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday in Pleasantville Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Lunenburg County Home Support, Palliative Home Support, Pleasantville Baptist Church or charity of choice. Family flowers only.
