PINEO, Shirley Ethel – 82, Wilmot, passed away, Saturday, July 8, 2006, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Wilmot, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Bessie (Whitman) Wotton. Shirley excelled as a gardener, in particular vegetable gardens. She was a marvelous cook and everyone looked forward to the family dinners at her place, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was previously employed for 18 years at England’s Warehouse, Wilmot. Shirley was an avid quilter and a member of Middleton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Connie), Wilmot; sisters, Helen Jodrey and Ruth Baker, both of Pleasantville; brother, George "Bud" (Pearl) Wotton, Wilmot; grandchildren, Donna, Danny, Linda, Mary Jane, Julia, and Dale; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray and son George.
By family request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, in Middleton Funeral Home (902)825-3448, Pastor Danny Smith officiating.
