LEONARD, Raybourne “Keith” – age 75 of South Williamston, NS passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Collingwood, NS he was the son of the late Raybourne and Josie (Colbourne) Leonard. Keith retired after 24 years as Field Foreman with the Department of Lands and Forests. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping and camping. Keith later operated his own hardwood business for a number of years. He truly loved the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Sharon Wotton, South Williamston; his sons, Craig Leonard (Denise O’Connell), Chester Basin; Shawn (Catherine) Leonard, Waterford, NB; Christopher Leonard (Sherry Boutilier), Dartmouth; Trevor (JC) Leonard, Windsor, NS; Brian (Connie) Leonard, Perth, ON; his sister, Zillah (Bill) Gaul, Nictaux; his daughter-in-law, Dawn Leonard, West Paradise; father-in-law, George “Bud” Wotton, Wilmot; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Pearl Wotton and his son, Glenn Leonard. In keeping with Keith’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00PM Thursday, February 25, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where a private family service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in the Whitman Cemetery, South Williamston. Donations in Keith’s memory may be made to Kidney Cancer Canada.
