A funeral for
Jacob L. Skinner, 81, a retired Potlatch Corp. foreman, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home at Lewiston. The Rev. J. Stanley Lyman of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Normal Hill Cemetery at Lewiston. He died Sunday of a heart attack at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Spokane.
He was born Feb. 14, 1914, to Ralph and Myrtle Sarrah Skinner at Lewiston, where he grew up and went to school. He married Ruth Eastburn Nov. 29, 1932, at Lewiston. She died Nov. 1, 1965. He married Leola Darlington Nov. 5, 1966, at Morris, Ill., and she survives him at their Lewiston home.
He was a foreman for Potlatch at Lewiston from 1933 until he retired March 31, 1976. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and helping members of his family and friends with projects involving carpentry, remodeling and mechanics.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Ruddell and Debbie Petticolas, both of Lewiston, and Becky Stimak of Post Falls; one son, Thomas Skinner of Clarkston; one stepson, Sherill Darlington of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Dawn Crawford of Tennessee; two sisters, Claribel Kight of Lewiston and Mildred Hansen of Clarkston; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two sisters and one brother.
