      Howell Linda Marie (Bowlby) died on the 12th of October 2020 at The Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Halifax, NS. Linda, beloved Child of God and daughter of the late Harold and late Marie Bowlby;Wife and life companion to her High School Sweetheart – Chris Howell (predeceased).
       Mother to three amazing children – Mike Howell (wife Carolyn); Tom Howell (wife Angelica); and Susan Howell (BJ Dixon). Grandmother to Tia Howell, Jessy Howell, Luis Howell and Lily Howell. Great grandmother to Gabriel Pineda Howell. She is survived by special and close siblings Neil Bowlby (Judy); Marg Schipper (John) & Nancy Bowlby.
       Linda had amazing support friendships which, with her family, she often claimed as her greatest treasure. Linda graduated from St. Peter’s High School and later from Mount St. Vincent with a Diploma in Business Studies. She was a graduate of the Halifax Diocesan Koinonia Program. From 1975-2006, Linda served faith companions in three Catholic Parishes: St. Mark’s in Quispamsis, NB – Coordinator of Religious Education. St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Dartmouth – Director of Religious Education and St. Clement Parish, Dartmouth – Parish Assistant. In all parishes she was Director of the Right of Christian Initiation for Adults and Confirmation Coordinator and Leader which were great sources of growth and joys to her. Linda loved her many years of volunteering at the Jesuit Centre of Spirituality in Halifax.
       Visitation will take place at Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, 5 Cow Bay Road on Thursday October 15 from 6 - 9 pm. Father Gerald will celebrate a funeral mass at St Andrew’s Parish, 1570 Shore Road, Eastern Passage on Friday October 16th at 10:00 am. Please respect COVID 19 restrictions - masks and social distancing will be required.
