Goff, Herbert Raymond — A private service will be held for Herbert Raymond Goff who passed away peacefully in Santa Cruz, California on July 15, 2006. He was 82.
Mr. Goff was born in Dallas Center, Iowa and was a long time resident of Orange, California. He was employed as an electrical engineer with Boeing in Orange County and his career in aerospace spanned over 35 years. His family recalled his love for golf and also his passion for sponsoring many people through A.A. He loved music, was a talented singer and sang in both the Civic Light Opera and his church while residing in Southern California.
Mr. Goff moved to be near his son in Santa Cruz 4 years ago and resided for a time at Dominican Oaks where he was an active participant in Cindy’s Celebrations.
He is survived by his four sons: Courtney Goff of Santa Cruz, Melvin Goff and George Dewey Goff both of Capistrano Beach, California, and Earl Morrison Goff of Rancho Santa Margarita, California. He also leaves his sister, Margaret Miller of Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Goff was preceded in death by two spouses, Margery Morrison Goff and Fran Goff.
A private committal at sea will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. Remembrances may be made to Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz County (914 Disc Drive Scotts Valley, CA. 95066) or to your local Hospice organization.
