      Beverly J. Powers / August 23, 1935 – March 17, 2020
      Beverly J. Powers, 84, of Boone, Iowa passed away at Westhaven Community in Boone on Tuesday March 17, 2020 where she had been a resident since December of 2019.
       Beverly was born on August 23, 1935 in Dallas Center, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Isabel (Gilmer) Haulman. She was a Registered Nurse and held a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Throughout Beverly’s career she worked as a Nurse at Boone County Public Health, Woodward State Hospital in Woodward, Iowa, Greene County Hospital In Jefferson, Iowa, and was a Director of Nursing at several long term care facilities in Iowa.
       Beverly is preceded in death by her husband James E. Powers. She is survived by her children: Dwight (Cindy) Powers, Douglas Powers, and David (Jill) Powers. Grand Children: Megan (Scott) Brendeland, Wyatt Powers, and Weston Powers. Great Grand Children: Mabel and Oscar Brendeland. Sister Dorthy Sanchez and Niece Stephanie (Mark) Bastable.
       A private family graveside service will be held at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.
