Mrs. Clair Folk Taken by Death Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Clair Folk, 47, who passed away at the Iowa City Hospital on Wednesday, following a long illness. Born in Dallas, west of Panther on 23 Jan 1908, she spent her entire life in this vicinity. Rev. Ben Sinderson officiated at the services held at the Adel Christian church and interment was at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines. Casket bearers were Bob Frush, Geo. McGinnis, C.A. Gatchell, Dave Wright, Bryce Chapman, and Gordon Russell. Mrs. Lewis Crane furnished the music at the organ.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Judy and Nadine and one son Donald, all of Adel; also her mother, Mrs. Mary Poffenberger of Adel and eight brothers and sisters: Fred Poffenberger of Norwalk; Roy Poffenberger of Burgham Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Archie Dillon of Adel; Albert Poffenberger of Adel; Ira Poffenberger of Greenfield; Lee Poffenberger of Perry; Mrs. Ethan Myers of Adel, and Mrs. Clifford Glenn of West Des Moines.
