      WILLIAM E. JORDAN
      AUGUSTA, Jan. 16 — William Elbridge Jordan 82 died at his home here Friday after a long illness. He was born October 21, 1876 at St Stephen NB, the son of John and Henrietta (McWardy) Jordan. He had been a member of the Knights of Pythias at Presque Isle. Survivors are his widow Mrs Bessie (Coes) Jordan; one daughter Mrs Dorothy Jazwienski of Sea Cliff, Long Island, NY; one son Robert W. Jordan of Augusta; one sister Mrs Marion McCurdy of St Stephen NB; two grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, Augusta. Burial will be in Mt Hope cemetery, Augusta.
