Glen D. Harms, 81, of Minburn died of a heart ailment Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center, with burial at Glendal Cemetery.
Mr. Harms was born in Lincoln, Neb., and lived in Adel 13 years before moving to Minburn in 1991. He retired as a mechanic at Rhinehart Implement in Dallas Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Bailey of Adel and Pauline Kinney of Omaha; three brothers, Fred of Dallas Center, and Arthur and Leo, both of Golden, Colo.; three sisters, Thelma Gerdes of Armstrong, Martha Cary of Griswold and Ruthie Trimmer of Golden; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
