Signe M. Breckon, 65, entered into eternal life on Dec. 2, 2011. She was born on Nov. 4, 1946, in Iron Mountain, Mich. to Conrad and Beaulah Kasten. After graduating from Sheboygan North High School in 1964, she went on to pursue a lifetime career in healthcare and human services. She devoted herself to caring for the elderly as a nursing home administrator and helping families in need as a social worker in Milwaukee Co and working diligently in several political campaigns and lobbying for change. Signe was most proud of her work as a surgical technician, delivering babies, caring for burn patients and working in cardiac units. She was a loving mother, wife and Oma and enjoyed making special gifts, baking and entertaining family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband, Patrick Breckon, Oregon; sister, Carol Uecke, Marinette; daughter Kelly (Jason) Leatherberry, Oregon; son Rob (Stacy) Kaltenbrun, Sheboygan; grandchildren Dylan, Abigail and Teghan and her beloved grand dog Hudson. A private memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
