    2. [S4] Obituary.
      Vernon W. Langdon, 72, of 906 Birchwood Ave. died at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday at The Martin Healthcare Center, West- EZT minster Village. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Metzler Memorial Home, the Rev. Bert L. Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Langdon Friday, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
       He was born Aug. 19, 1908, in Holder, a son of Wilmer and Sarah Rogers Langdon.
       He married Martha Newlin Nov. 21, 1946, in Hutsonville. She survives. Also surviving is a cousin.
       He was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.
       He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Knights Templar, Arts and Crafts Masonic Lodge, Bloomington Consistory, Bloomington Shrine Club, and Mohammed Shrine Temple, Peoria. He was awarded the Masons meritorious service award in 1971, and received his 33rd degree in 1975. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or Wesley United Methodist Church.
