W. C. Homan Succumbs to Heart Attack Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. From Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel for Walter C. (Pop) Homan, 73, of 2008 Maple St.. who died in a local hospital at 2:25 p.m. Monday after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Homan was well known for his interest in baseball and had been in charge of the Knot Hole Gang at the Texas League Baseball Park here for the past seven years. He was a native of Kenosha County, Ky. Last year members of the Shreveport squad signed a baseball and gave it to him in tribute for his interest in the youth and baseball. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Raymond Rowsey, pastor of the Fair Park Christian Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. The body will remain at Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel until the hour of service. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cora Homan; one son, Walter A. Homan. of Bossier City; one daughter, Mrs. Lois Grant, of San Diego. Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Coleman, of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. John Christianson, of Blackwell, Okla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. — The Times from Shreveport (Louisiana), Wednesday, April 13, 1955.
