      Alfred Forrest Taylor, 83, of Brevard died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Ivy Hill Health and Retirement.
       He was the son of the late Robert M. Taylor and Helen Suiter Taylor. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired school teacher, and a member of the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church.
       Surviving are his wife Frances F. Taylor; two daughters, Susan Madara of Atlanta, Ga., and Nancy Taylor Ginsburg of Houston, Texas; a son, Lawrence D. Taylor of Schaefferstown, Pa.; grandchildren, Matthew and Patricia Madara, Forrest Taylor and wife, Gina, and Claire Taylor; and sisters, Katharine Taylor and Lois Stegenga of Tinton Falls, N.J.
       A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Keith Thompson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 1071, Brevard, N.C. 28712 or to the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church Choir, 300 E. Main St., Brevard, N.C. 28712.
