Joe B. Laugel, 65, of Loveland died March 4, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1938, in Omaha, Neb. He attended high school in Rapid City, S.D., and graduated from Colorado State University. He married Judy Watkins in 1964.
Mr. Laugel was engaged in farming, ranching and cattle feeding businesses in Sterling, Colo. He was the owner and manager of Laugel Feed Yard. The family moved in 1987 to Loveland, where he operated a fabrication business.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Laugel, of Loveland; three sons, Brad Laugel, Jeff Laugel and wife Mindy, all of Loveland, and Mike Laugel and wife Jeny of Sterling; two grandsons; his mother, Fran Varlie; and a sister, Sally Chapman and husband Bob of San Diego, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Laugel.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Presbyterian Church of Loveland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation for the First United Presbyterian Church of Loveland.
