    1. [S4] Obituary.
      Hermann Rietz, died Friday at his home on Washington Street, aged 64 years. He was born in Germany and came to this country with his parents when a boy and has ever since been a resident of this city. In 1874 he was united in marriage to Miss Augusta Plantico, who still survives besides five children, Dr. P.C. Rietz, Arthur Rietz and Mrs. M.P. Wood, all of Evansville, Ind., Dr. Hugo C. Rietz of Los Angeles and Walter H. Rietz, student at Rush Medical College, Chicago. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the German Lutheran Church. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
