    7. [S4] Obituary.
Mr. Edward Skinner, Jr., formerly of Boston and a resident for several years of Brookline street of this city died on July 31. He had been in delicate health for several years and recently left for his country residence in New Brunswick, hoping for a return to health. But the change did not bring recovery and his father, Dr. Edward M. Skinner, made several hurried trips there during his son’s illness. At the last of these, Mr. Skinner’s son wished to return and they left for Boston, July 30. Bu his strength was not sufficient for the journey and he died near Bangor, Maine, on the fowllowing day. The remains were brought to Mr. Skinner’s residence on Brookline street, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. U. Sherman, D. D., of Jamaica Plain. Interment was in Mt. Auburn cemetery, August, 3.
Mr. Skinner leaves no family, but his loss is mourned by a father mother and two sisters, Miss Carrie Skinner of Brookline street, and Mrs. George A. Botsford of Florence street this city. The deceased read law in the office of the late Thomas P. Proctor of Boston and afterwards had charge of considerable real estate in that city. He was a kindly man, respected by his friends, and by prudent management had accumulated considerable real estate in various parts.
