Mrs. Martha M. Erion of 708 E northwest, mother of Miami businessman Carl A. Erion, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Baptist hospital. She was 83. Mrs. Erion had resided in Miami three years. She was a native of Des Moines, la., and a former resident of Colorado Springs, Colo. She belonged to the First Presbyterian church here and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by four sons, Carl, of 213 16th avenue northwest, Donald S. Erion of Omaha, Neb., Henry A. Erion of Augusta, Ga., and Gene L. Erion, Missoula, Mont.; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey Tiffany, Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Nora O’Shea, and a brother, Carl Smith, both of Omaha; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Cooper Funeral home chapel with the Rev. J. Donald Kruithof, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. The body will be taken to Bellevue, Neb., for burial in the Bellevue cemetery, probably Wednesday.
